A year ago, we, Lotte and Marieke, shared a frustration: our bathroom was full of jars, bottles and tubes. We wanted products that were good for us and for the planet, but were completely lost in the search for this.

The more we looked, the more we learned about the junk hidden behind shiny packaging, hopeful slogans and incomprehensible labels.

The cosmetics industry is extremely polluting.

Our conclusion: we want to know what we are buying.

And so Uncovered was born.

What started at the kitchen table, looking for brands that are fair and sustainable, grew into a webshop during our master. A place where you can buy cosmetics without any detours. Because we don't need all those nice marketing stories. Our standardized product display makes it easy to compare, so that you can make the best choice with a good feeling — for yourself and the planet.

    This is Marieke, our commercial star who makes sure that everything is in order. In her spare time, she likes to get on her bike for a round of cycling or she goes for a run.   • Lotte

    This is Lotte, our impact-driven idealist who makes sure that everything we do is in line with Uncovered’s mission. She prefers walking over cycling, and enjoys running on the weekend, preferably to the beach. She also likes to plan a weekend away or a trip with family or friends, a true world traveler (preferably by train of course!).
